Author Bogdan Suceava will present his book in states like California, Texas, Arizona and New York.
He studied mathematics at the University of Bucharest and at the Michigan State University. He is currently associate professor of mathematics at California State University, Fullerton. Among others, he authored the novels Coming from an Off-Key Time (2004), Miruna, A Tale (2007), Vincent the Immortal (2008) and The Night Someone Died for You (2010). Miruna, A Tale was awarded the prize of the Writer’s Union of Bucharest.
Coming from an Off-Key Time has two editions in Romanian (2004, 2010) and has also been translated in Hungarian and Bulgarian (both editions in 2009). The present edition published in English by Northwestern University Press was translated by Alistair Ian Blyth with the support of the Romanian Cultural Institute by means of the TPS program. On the occasion of the English edition, the author shall present the book in different locations.
Bogdan Suceava a studiat matematica la Universitatea Bucuresti si la Michigan State University si in prezent preda matematica la California State University, Fullerton. Este, intre altele, autorul romanelor Venea din timpul diez (2004), Miruna, o poveste (2007), Vincent nemuritorul (2008) si Noaptea cand cineva a murit pentru tine (2010). Miruna, o poveste a primit premiul Asociatiei Scriitorilor din Bucuresti.
Venea din timpul diez are doua editii in limba romana (2004, 2010) si a mai fost tradus in maghiara si bulgara (ambele aparitii in 2009). Editia care apare acum in limba engleza la Northwestern University Press a fost tradusa de Alistair Ian Blyth si este sustinuta de Institutul Cultural Roman prin programul TPS. Cu prilejul acestei aparitii, autorul va face o serie de prezentari ale cartii.
